We are looking for reading specialists who want to provide engaging, motivating, and highly rewarding reading programs for students who are looking to advance their pre-literacy and literacy skills to become confident readers. Our goal is to help students, individually or in small groups, further develop their decoding and reading comprehension skills, and support them throughout the school year and beyond.

As an EBS Reading Specialist, you will work collaboratively with district leadership, principals, and other teachers to identify and implement effective strategies for student achievement through coaching, supporting, and guiding teachers in best practices for literacy instruction. You will have further responsibility of understanding and assisting in implementing current methodologies and effective instructional strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred
  • A minimum of two years teaching experience

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

    As an EBS Audiologist, you will be working with individuals ranging from birth to 21 years of age to support the identification, intervention, and education of children with hearing loss. EBS prides itself on individualized services, so understanding the needs of each child on a one-on-one basis is very important. Excellent communication skills are also vital, as you will interact with students, parents, and educators on a daily basis.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supports the identification, intervention, and education of children with hearing loss
    • Conducts audiological evaluations with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children
    • Assesses and consults regarding auditory functioning and hearing technology (hearing aids, cochlear implants and hearing assistive technology) as applicable to the educational setting
    • Educates and guides parents to intervention and educational resources
    • Collaborates and communicates with education and community professionals working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
    • Actual responsibilities may be defined according to the range of knowledge and skills and departmental needs
